          Bahrain appoints new Central Bank Governor

          Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a decree appointing Khalid Ibrahim Hamidan as the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain for a tenure of five years.

          Effective February 1, 2024, the decree will be implemented, according to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

          Hamidan’s appointment follows the tenure of Rasheed Mohamed Al Maraj, who has held the position of Bahrain’s central governor since January 2005.
